3 Ways to Make Money Blogging

December 20, 2009 - 10:21 pm No Comments
Matthew Overstreet asked:

You own a blog with a good page rank and decent traffic, but now you want to make money blogging. You want to capitalize on all your hard work and effort, but how exactly, do you make money blogging? There are undoubtedly many ways to make money with a blog, but affiliate marketing is probably the most well known method to start bringing in the cash.

So, what is affiliate marketing? Affiliate marketing is a method employed by businesses to drive traffic to their websites. When the owner of a website or blog signs up for an affiliate program, the business then assigns a tracking code, text or banner system to the affiliate to place on their website. When a person goes to the blog or website and clicks the link provided, the affiliate program begins tracking the visitors actions. If the visitor proceeds to buy something from the business, a percentage of the sale goes to you.

1. Clickbank

Clickbank features hundreds of eBooks for you to promote. You simply browse their online catalog for various eBooks by topic. When you find something you like, Clickbank supplies you with a tracking code, just like any other affiliate program. You place a link on your blog and the affiliate program tracks any sales generated by your lead.

2. SwordWares.com

SwordWares.com supplies text links and banners to it’s affiliates. Any sales generated from a click-through will land the affiliate 10% in sales profit.

3. Blogitive

Blogitive is a popular method bloggers are using to make money blogging. The site is actually run as an advertising service offered to businesses. A business usually pays around $20 to use the service, and then as a blog owner, you pick an ad to make $5 by promoting it on your website. Just be careful with this last method, since I’ve heard certain websites are beginning to ban or delete blogs that blatantly promote ads from blogitive.

Now that we know which services to use, just realize that neither of them are get rich quick schemes. You could just place these links randomly on your site and expect the money to come rolling in … but it’s not likely. To make money blogging, it’s all about sales. People trust personal recommendation more than a blatant sales page, and that is why blogs are such a good sales engine to capitalize on.

Keep in mind that it’s very possible to make enough earnings from affiliate marketing to actually live on. But, also keep in mind that over 90% of affiliates and blog-owners will never reach that kind of success. It takes time, patience, and education.

Instead of just placing a standalone link or banner, it’s usually good to accompany the link with some kind of opinion or buzz surrounding the product or service. If you have experience with the product or services being sold on a site, let it be known. Get people excited about the products you’re trying to sell, and you can certainly expect to make money blogging.

Blog Marketing for a New Online Business – the Best Free Blog Websites and Posting Tips for You

December 20, 2009 - 5:24 am No Comments
Brad Sinjin Smith asked:

As you know, blogging is one of the best ways to increase traffic flow to your new online business website (“Um, what’s blogging?” – if you don’t know much about writing blogs, please read this article first.) Once you write your first entry, you start wondering, what is the best place to post a blog? What are the top blog sites that could aid the marketing of your online business?

Here is a list of the best free blog web-sites that I use myself and recommend to my team members:

Blogger.com

WordPress.com

Hubpages.com

Tumblr.com

Xanga.com

Blog.com

Livejournal.com

Zimbio.com

“Oh no!” – you say. – “So many sites to sign up for! I **** that!” No worries – I recommend you use the free version of the software called Roboform (http://www.roboform.com/) for all of your Internet sign-ups. Roboform fills out your forms automatically with a push of a button, which reduces your sign-up time to a few seconds per website.

Generally, it’s good not to make your blog sound too promotional, with no more then 2 links to any one web-site per entry, but WordPress and Hubpages are especially strict when it comes to blog content. Make sure you don’t put anything that sounds like a “direct sell” onto those websites – otherwise your entries will get deleted and your account could get suspended.

If you like to write your entries in Word Document and then post them to the blog web-sites, make sure you preview your blogs before posting them. Blogs imported from Word tend to show up with a bunch of gibberish HTML codes, visible on top of the page. You would have to go to the blog edit window, and remove those manually. Once you post your entry on one of the websites I would recommend to copy and paste it from that site for when you start putting your blog on others. That way, you will be rid of the Word HTML codes forever.

Posting your blog manually to all of the above web-sites will take anywhere from an hour to 3 hours, depending on how fast you can work. My team and I have cut our posting time to 30-45 minutes, using a great free blog disseminator (a service which auto-posts blogs to various web-sites for you). I strongly recommend blog disseminators to anyone who values their time.

A quick note about the disseminators: they don’t auto-post blog tags – only the body of the blog – so make sure you put your tags underneath every entry. I advise my team against using simple one or two-word tags, the reason being, that they act as keywords for search engines and if they are too general, your posting will not get nearly as much traffic. For example, try googling the keywords “blogging”, “blog” or “online business”. There are millions of search engine results for each of them. What is the chance that YOUR blog will show up on the first page?

Instead, try using longer tags. Think of something an actual person would search for in Yahoo! or Google. For example, good keywords/tags for this particular blog are:

Where to post a blog, best websites to post a blog, top blog sites, top blog web-sites, the best place to post a blog, marketing a new online business, online business marketing, blogging for a new business, writing a blog for a new business, how to post a blog, new online business marketing tips, best free blog sites, best free blog websites

If you haven’t yet joined an online business opportunity, make sure you ask your team leaders for help with blogs, as they are extremely important to your development as a marketer. For example, I provide my team with links to various blog directories and with detailed tips on how to avoid common blogging mistakes. Remember that the more blogs you write, the more people will go to your website. I would recommend writing a blog every other day for the first month after your start/join an opportunity.

I hope this was helpful to you! I wish you best of luck in your blogging endeavors.

Hey U Know, Money Blogging is Simple.!

December 15, 2009 - 8:08 am No Comments
shafar asked:

DO YOU WANT TO MAKE MONEY FROM HOME..?

THEN BECOME A MONEY BLOGGER…!

"SIMPLE, EASY AND COSTLESS…!"

Many people lost many bucks in the past few years by joining or subscribing to various money making programs in some websites. These websites promised that they could earn many bucks a day just by doing some data entry job. To meet administrative expenses they asked them to pay some bucks as registration fees. But most of them did not get any work or was paid very less.

Anyone with common sense should never commit such mistakes again. Never pay to get paid. Never fall in such traps. Making money online in the above cases requires as much as hard work that you put on making money offline. Never forget this fact. Don’t forget the experience of millions: IF SOMETHING SOUNDS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THAT OFFER..!

But that does not mean you cannot make money online. You can earn online in proportion to your knowledge, skills and hard work. The beauty of the Internet is that even if you don’t have knowledge or skills about something, you can quickly develop them free of cost through the Internet…!!

How much Money you will make from a Blog depends on the Content and the Topic of the blog and the number of visitors to your blog. For example, If you write about Sports and Movies, you may get a lot of traffic. But, your income potential will be minimum. Writing about Online Money Making and Mortgages have wider scope. If you write about online money making and mortgages, you will make good money even if you have a less traffic. If you write about a topic no one is interested in, you will neither attract traffic nor make money…

So find out the topics you are interested in. You can refer many Websites and find many articles relating to the topics you want to include in your Blog. Focus on the topics that have income potential. Create a frequently updated Useful Blog. Add More Articles to your Blog. Put Relevant Ads(Eg: Google Adsense) in it. Promote your Blog. You will earn Decent Income…!

Millions of small business persons make money. None of them comes out in public and says ‘I make X amount of money’ because of personal, private and social reasons. Does this mean there is no money in business? Will you start a business only if all others confirm that they make certain amount of money? The fundamental principles of an online business and offline business are the same…

Tens of Thousands of Bloggers make money. What does it matter where you live in? The Internet has broken all man made geographical borders. We must change our attitude of thinking in terms of ‘South’ and ‘North’. Unless your blog is about non-regional interests, you can’t attract more traffic. So Think Globally…

So Learn the Business process and work hard. Find Relevant and Wider-Scope Topics that you can write well. Work Hard using your Skill and Knowledge. Update your Blog Regularly. Want Money, Then Place relevant Links, Ads or Banners in it. You will get a lot of Traffic. You will also make a lot of money… "IF THERE IS A WILL, THERE IS A WAY…!"

The 5 Laws Of Writing Network Marketing Blogs

November 19, 2009 - 3:38 am No Comments
Mike Dillard asked:

If you are not writing blogs you are doing your network marketing business and your bank account a disservice. As an entrepreneur one of the greatest tools you have is the Internet.

Marketing methods such as blogs, allow marketers to speak to people anywhere on the web. In the old MLM business model most marketing had to be done within your geographic area by chasing people down the street like a sleazy salesman.

From Google ad words, to e-mail marketing there is simply no better automated, cost effective way of marketing your business and making money than writing blogs. Period.

Writing network marketing blogs is like any other marketing method, you have to learn how to do it properly or it is simply useless and a waste of your time. Therefore, you need to know the 5 laws of network marketing blogs in order to drive traffic to your blog, your website and to make money.

Network Marketing Blog Law #1

Offer value to your readers. People will only read your blog if you have valuable information to give to them that is written in an interesting way. You don’t have to be a miracle man for them, but you need to make sure that you have something of value that you are offering because it is the only way people will read it.

Network Marketing Blog Law #2

Make sure your blog sticks to their brain. In other words, make them remember in it in one way or another.

You can do this several ways. One is using the first law and give people enough value to want to read what you have out next time. Second is to design your blog with a catchy, unique appropriate theme that they like and can’t forget. Another is to add an opt-in web form so you can capture a reader’s email address. Then you can develop a relationship with them by sending them your newsletter or other e-mail marketing content.

Network Marketing Blog Law #3

Make it real. Don’t over stuff keywords and ads into your blog. Search engines and readers do not enjoy this optimization technique. You can achieve the best long-term rankings with the search engines by writing good content laden blogs.

Network Marketing Blog Law #4

Research the market that you intend to blog to. When you blog you have to select different niche markets that you want the blog released to. Remember that marketing is all about getting what you have in front of the right people, not the most people. Blogging is not any different.

Network Marketing Blog Law #5

Do not let your blog sit around. It does not look good when your blog disappears, you will gradually lose all traffic to your blogs and your websites. Keep up with your blogs and try to submit one for each website you are marketing at least once a month. Once a week, or daily are the best options, but it all depends on the amount of time you want to spend blogging and how much traffic you are trying to get.

As you can see, network marketing blogs are an important Internet marketing tool to master. They can drive you a lot of free, targeted traffic from all over the net, and you can get ranked with the search engines by having back-links all over the Internet. Just remember to follow the five laws of blogging if you wish to maximize your profits.

There are so many ways to make money online, where do you start?

September 7, 2009 - 10:57 am No Comments
Gary Kohnke asked:

When it comes to trying to make money online, it was extremely hard to figure out the best route to pursue.  There are so many different options to choose from and so many different reviews to read online, that it made it tough to figure out what road to take.  How do you figure out which ones actually work?  When I became 46 years old, I was bound and determined to quit my job and make money online.  Most of us dream about working from home and not having to punch a clock, or not having to answer to some boss.  But most of us aren’t willing to do what it takes to pursue our dreams.  I know that money isn’t everything in life; happiness is the most important to me.  I will say though, it helps to have a little extra cash when your kids start going to college.  And I also believe that it is very important to build your net worth!

One way to try and make money online is to have your own website.  Sounds like a great idea, doesn’t it?  Well if you’re like me, I didn’t have a clue on how to build a website or what to do to make it successful.  But like I said earlier, I was determined to make money online.  I didn’t know anything about HTML, search engine optimization, website hosting companies, Google Adsense or Adwords, Meta keywords, just to name a few things that go along with a website.

The first thing that I thought of was to go out and hire a marketing firm to help me, and believe me; there are thousands to choose from.  There not cheap either!  They’re going to tell you things like you can make a thousand dollars in your first month.  They’ll act like making money online is so easy and simple.  To work from home and make money online only takes 10 to 15 hours a week.  They don’t tell you about hiring someone to do your business taxes.  They don’t tell you about incorporating your business and the costs associated with that.  And you might want to go out and hire a lawyer to take care of the legal matters.

Running a website is a way to start to work from home, but it takes persistence.  Don’t expect to start to make money online right away because getting traffic to your site takes a lot of time.  You have to do many different things to get people to visit your site.  You have to write articles, blogs and add your site to a lot of different directories, just to name a few.  I’m not trying to discourage anyone from starting their own website; I’m just trying to inform you on what it takes to run a website.  If this is your dream, then by all means, go for it!

I still feel that paid surveys is an easy way to start to work from home and make money online.  It is something you can do when you feel like it.  You can do 1 survey a week or 10 surveys a week; it’s all up to you.   Whatever you decide to do, I wish you all the luck in the world to succeed.  Follow your heart; it will always lead you down the right path!
