What Tools A Professional Blogger Should Have

July 3, 2010 - 4:32 pm No Comments

Nowadays, almost everyone has a blog. Becoming a professional blogger that can generate money online is a common dream for bloggers now. Before you can make big money online, there’re few things that you need to have, or else your blogs will not become your ATM machines.

1) Own BlogsWhen I say about own blogs, it doesn’t mean that you can simply create a blog at blogger and you claim yourself that you’ve owned the blog. This is wrong. You haven’t owned a blog if you’re doing so. You must have your own domains and hosting. Simply, you can register a cheap domain at NameCheap or GoDaddy. For hosting, you can get it from HostGator. You only own the blog if you own the domain (This means you buy it) and your own hosting.

For blogging platform, I would recommend you to use the server-based WordPress because it’s easy to use and it has many powerful features such as plug-ins.

2) Keyword Research ToolsYou can be successful without having powerful keywords. The best keyword research tool available in the internet is Keyword Elite, which is used by many bloggers and supper affiliate now. You can also use some free tools like Wordtracker free keyword tool.

3) AutoresponderThis is the life-blood of every blogger who wants to make big money online. You need an autoresponder to capture your leads. Without a list of buyer leads, you cannot make big money online. To get started with capturing leads, you should get your own autoresponder. For beginners and intermediate users, I highly recommend ShoutResponse Autoresopnder because it’s affordable yet very cheap. The pricing is almost half of other services. You can go through the ShoutResponse Autoresponder review before you make your decision.

4) PDF WriterGiving ebooks away as freebies to is an old-fashion way to build credibility and capture leads, but it’s still extremely effective. A PDF writer is an essential tool that a professional blogger must have. It’s free to grab, you don’t have to spend a single cent for it. You can download PDF writers like PFD995 for free.

5) Consistency and DeterminationAre these tools? Yes, for me, they’re vital “tools” that a profitable blogger’s mind must have! I always tell people that to make big money online, they should blog consistently and never give up because of failing. Many bloggers give up easily because they don’t see any result after they’ve blogged for months. My suggestion is, don’t expect any profit in the first 6 months. All you need to do is just keep contributing quality content, capture leads, build a close relationship with your readers and other bloggers, as well as keep on updating yourself.

These are the 5 things that you must have if you want to become a professional blogger. This isn’t a tough job actually, it’s very easy. It just depend on how much you can contribute an how well you can apply there uses.

SUMMARY: BLOGGER MANUAL | SEO TIPS AND TRICKS (GUIDELINE FOR NEW BLOGGER)

June 26, 2010 - 3:54 pm No Comments

In this blogger manual I’ll show you the basic off all SEO technique. I don’t like to chit-chat, so let’s straigth to the point. You must know that we have two kinds of optimization that can be done by ourselves. First, is On-page Optimization, and the second is Off-page optimization….Do you know anything about On-page optimization? It’s everyting that you can do to your blog to make it suitable for the search engine. We have several things to do for our on-page optimization:1. Choose the keywords of your new blogUse Google External Keywords tool to choose your keywords. How to use this tool? It’s quite simple. Consider that you want to use “Blogspot tutorial” as your keyword. All you need to do is to type this keyword in to the keyword box. Fill the Captcha code and click on Keyword Suggestion. You will see a list of keywords that related to your first keyword. You will see that the competition of BLOGSPOT TUTORIAL keywords is to fierce for a new blog. Try to choose other keywords with the lowest competition but still have a good enough search volume. It’s better for you to start with the lowest competition level, then slowly but sure you climb up by the number of visitor. If you can take a lot of visitor to your blog, you’ll see that you can aim a new keyword with higher competition level. In this tutorial, let’s consider that the keyword you choose is “BLOGGER MANUAL”2.Choose your URL address that suits with your keywordsFor example…if it’s possible …why don’t you use this URL … http://blogger-manual.blogspot.com3. Choose Blog Title that suitable for your blogFor example…use this title…”Blogger Manual for Blogspot”4. Use title tag in your html Use title tag that contain the combination of your keywords, if it’s posibble…use 7-10 words as your title. For example …. Blogger manual | blogspot tutorial for newbiea title tag should seen like thisyou can put this tag right under the tag in your LAYOUT — EDIT HTML page5. Use meta tag in your HTMLmeta tag is a code that contain the summary of your blog data. There are meta description, meta keywords, & meta author that you should optimize….6. Use your keyword in your posting title7. Use your keywords in your articles and spread those keywords at the first sentences, and the last sentences. Don’t forget to add your keywords each 2-3 paragraphs.8. It’s better for you, if your main column (the place where your article displayed) float at the left side. It’s because the spider will crawl your page from the top left to the botom right. If you put your main column at the right, then the spider will crawl your sidebar and each navigation links inside your sidebar, before it arrives to your article. Your competitor will left you behind. You may say like this “O yeah, than why there is a left float main column website defeated by the center or right float main column websites?” Simple,….It’s because the off-page factor that we should talk later. If it’s possible…it will be better if you put your keywords at the end of your page or right in the footer of your webpage. If you do this, then you can boost your position up to 400 positions. If you were in the 1200 , now you may hit to the 800th position….. Now, you may already bend your face and say “Yeah, and what does it use for?” I’ll say “Nothing,…it still can’t help you” you have to complete the OFF-PAGE optimization to be the king of the Search Engine Result Page….Oh, and what is off-page optimization? Simple, it’s all about everything that you can do to promote your blog.1. Increase the number of your visitors. You can do blogwalking to invite people. Or do some promotion in facebook, to invite people visit your blog2. Build links to your blog. But before you do a link building process, you should know the type of links:a. Link from shoutbox….it has no credit for youb. Link from Comment box… it has credit if the blog has relevant content to your blogc. Trackback link….It’s a link that appear if you review any webpage in your blog and leave your link at the comment column of the webpage. It has more credit than a common link from the comment boxd. Reciprocal link is a kind of links that appear if you do some link exchange. It has a very good credit if both of the oage has relevant content. But, has no credit at all if they don’t have any relevant contente. One way link…. If you have one way link that is directed to your blog, then it will be the most perfect link you can haveSo what is the criteria of a good link?1. It connects the relevant pages2. It comes from a higher Pagerank page3. It’s a one way linkAt this poin, is there any conclusion you get? Well, my blogger manual will continue with the biggest question mark….”HOW CAN I GET THOSE BACKLINKS?”It’s quite simple, but I tell you that it won’t be easy at all. Your solution is to send a request message to every webmasters that you want to ask for a backlinks. The badnews is A high pagerank Webmaster will be very selective to accept any link exchange offer. It’s because…if they make a bad decision of which page should be connected to their website. It can kill their pagerank instantly. Let’s consider like this if you accept to link your blog to other website … and you don’t know that the website has been banned by google….than you will take a risk to be banned also by Google. Or at least Google will penalize your blog by reducing your pagerank 1 or 2 points. Well, It’s still the basic knowledge, but I thinks it’s enough for you to develop your SEO skill by following this short blogger manual. If you have any question….feel free to visit blogger manual. And you can contact me at contact form that I have provide for you. —-THE END OF BLOGGER MANUAL – SEO SUMMARY —

Step-By-Step: Give a Site Blog Appeal

It’s easy to set up and customize a Weblog for your Web site. We walk you through the necessary steps.

Arin Hailey is a freelance writer and editor based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

You and your Web site used to have a great relationship, but lately you just can’t express yourself online as freely and spontaneously as you want to. Rekindle your site’s immediacy by giving it a Web log, or blog. A blog lets you add new content quickly from almost anywhere. Others can participate via comments to your postings or as full-fledged contributors.

blogging, blogger,blogspot,make money from blog

Google’s Blogger service permits you to create and maintain blogs that are hosted for free on Blogger’s servers. Alternatively, with just a few simple tweaks to your Blogger account, you can use Blogger to add a Web log to an existing Web site and make it look like that site’s other pages. Hosting the blog on your site rather than on Blogger’s servers allows you to integrate your blog with the other components of your site, such as your portfolio and your collection of family photos. It also enables regular visitors to find your blog postings easily.

The ABCs of FTP

blogging, blogger,blogspot,make money from blog

1. Get started: Go to Blogger.com and click Create Your Blog Now. The user name and password you choose will sign you in later to alter your blog. On the ‘Name your blog’ screen, give your blog a title and click Advanced Blog Setup. Reenter the blog’s name and provide the address of your site’s FTP server, FTP protocol, and FTP path (the directory in which you will publish your blog, as shown at left). If you don’t already have this information, ask your Web hosting service for it. Your best bet is to publish your blog in a dedicated directory. For example, if your Web site’s FTP directory were “public_html,” you would set your FTP path to public_html/blog to prevent overwriting existing files in your site’s server directory. Finally, enter a file name (such as index.html) and a URL (for example, http://mywebsite.com/blog). You can upload the HTML and image files destined for your blog to any FTP server. (Some other blog-creation tools, such as Movable Type, require that you set up a separate database on a server, but Blogger has no such requirements.) For more about FTP, visit the Blogger.com home page and click Help, FTP.

Customize Your Blog

2. Find the look you like: After you’ve named your blog, you need to choose a template to pattern its layout on. Remember that you can always switch to another template design later. If you feel comfortable working with HTML code, you can modify Blogger’s standard templates, or you can create a completely original look for your blog. Scott Spanbauer’s “Instant Web Sites” feature (January 2004), includes a sample blog template, as well as instructions for editing templates at Blogger.com.

3. Make your statement: Now you’re ready to begin adding content: Click Start Posting to open the Create page, which is located under the Posting tab. Publish a test post to make sure that everything is working (you can delete the post later if you wish). Enter your FTP user name and password; you’ll need to do this the first time you publish during each Blogger session. You can preview, edit, or save your initial post as a draft before you publish it. When everything is in order, you’re free to post away.

4. Create a profile: Now personalize the placeholder text accompanying the template. First click the Settings tab on the Blogger account home page to enter your blog description. To change your blog’s profile, go to the Blogger Dashboard and click Edit Profile. You can choose not to display your profile at all if you like. On the Dashboard, click your blog’s name. Then click Template, Edit Current, scroll to ‘‘, and delete the following text: <$BlogMemberProfile$> (see above). The wording of options and HTML code in different templates varies, and the template you’re working with may not have all the options described here. To deploy the changes on your site, click Save Template Changes followed by the Republish Index button.

5. Add links before you publish: If your template includes links in a sidebar section, you can personalize them by scrolling in the template window to the section set off with ‘

Links

‘. Edit these links so that they match the template’s sample (above). When you’re done, click Save Template Changes and then Republish Index. Later you can add multiple authors and photos to the blog, in addition to enabling e-mail and even mobile-phone posting. As you learn Blogger’s tools you’ll regain mastery of your domain in no time. And who knows–your blog might get you to fall in love with your Web site all over again.

Blogging In Blogger

June 23, 2010 - 11:40 am No Comments

Blogger is one of the many options available to bloggers who are looking for free blog software. This website located at the following web address: http://www.blogger.com offers registered users the opportunity to publish their own blog free of charge. The website also has templates the blogger can use to create his blog and even enables bloggers to easily place Google advertisements on their blog and coordinates an AdSense account for the users so they can potentially earn a profit from their blog. This article will discuss the history of Blogger as well as the terms of service.

The History of Blogger

Blogger began in 1999 with a small group of friends in the San Francisco area who ran a company called Pyra Labs. These friends did not set out to create a network of bloggers but nevertheless Blogger emerged from their efforts. The three friends who developed bloggers were programmers who toiled away for others in an effort to fund their own endeavors. As previously mentioned a blog network was not their original goal but the friends were intrigued by the idea as it emerged and found others were interested too as their concept quickly took off and new members were joining everyday. Like most Internet entrepreneurs of this time period, they experienced setbacks but continued to persevere.

In 2002 Blogger was doing well but got an unexpected surprise when Google expressed interest in purchasing Pyra Labs. Google was interested in the upswing in the blogging community and the members of Pyra Lab sold their company enabling Google to take over the operation. Since taking over Google introduced the concept of AdSense advertising campaigns on blogs which has been generating profits for Google and bloggers alike. Blogger not only offers members templates to create a blog and voice their opinions on the Internet but also simplifies the process of placing AdSense advertisements on the blog.

Blogger Terms of Service

The Terms of Service of Blogger are susceptible to change but there are a few basic terms which users can expect to exist. The Terms of Service for Blogger provides explanations of items such as the services offered, description of proper use of the services, privacy policies, an explanation of intellectual property rights, cause for termination and information regarding the legal jurisdiction of the website. Members of Blogger are advised to carefully review these policies before becoming a member and to be sure they understand and agree to all of these terms. If the potential member is unsure about the meaning of one or more of the terms, he should contact Blogger to seek clarification on the Terms of Service.

Members of Blogger should also be aware that the Terms of Service may change and should review these terms periodically to ensure there have been no changes made which will adversely impact the member.

Members of Blogger should pay particular attention to the section of the Terms of Service which specify causes for termination of a member’s account. This information is important because it will help to prevent the member from inadvertently performing an action which may result in his account being terminated or suspended. Blogger is not required to inform the member of the infractions before suspending the account so a member will likely lose his account before he is even aware he has violated the Terms of Service agreement.

how do I get help with blogger? How do I copy and paste from my word processing program (or from where I posted the info elsewhere.)

June 20, 2010 - 2:19 pm No Comments

I have seen a few users mention that they are having issues pasting into the post editing window. I don’t know if Blogger changed the system to keep people from accidentally pasting from Word (and other word processing programs) or if it is just a glitch, but the fact is, you should NOT paste from Word to Blogger. There is a lot of hidden formatting and coding that conflicts with Blogger and I have seen it cause blogs to completely lock up or stop showing any posts at all.

If you need to compose your posts offline first, use a simple text editor like Notepad and paste only the text in using the Control C and Control V keys on your keyboard. Do any formatting you want to do using the Blogger interface tools. Please post your error code here.

B2evolution: the Software That Turns a Greenhorn Into a Seasoned Blogger

June 19, 2010 - 3:27 am No Comments

The blogging software that is enjoying the limelight for quite some times for now is the B2Evolution. Written in PHP, and supported by MySQL database, it is among those few web applications that every web host will recommend you for your website.

The beauty of this software lies in its comprehensive feature list that includes

• Multiple blogs

• Multiuser with different access levels

• Antispam tools

• Trackbacks and pingbacks

• Timezone handling

• RSS and ATOM feeds

• Image file organizer.

• It is also multilingual; a feature that can be attributed to its originator, Francois Planque—who was a Frenchman.

In addition to that, the latest version of B2 evolution has been enriched with many more interesting features:

One of the most talked about point in the new release is its parting with the feature of configuration file editing. From now on, all configuration tasks are going to be handled through the installer or administrative back-end.

In addition to that, this software allows an admin user to lock himself out permanently. What he needs to do is to redirecting the admin.php page to a nonexistent URL on the root domain.

Another important feature relates to the spam protection for which B2Evolution receives adieus. It is provided with community-wide spam filters. This helps the B2Eevolution sites aggregate and “tag” spammer IPs into a central blacklist. The other B2Eevolution blogs get benefited from this spam filtering.

Then, B2Evolution is famously packed with a fully skinnable interface. Traditional blog, knowledge base, bug tracker—-any type of skins can be easily downloaded and installed to render a new look and feel to your blog site.

It also offers localization into a number of language packs which can be easily downloaded. Already available languages are: Chinese, Czech, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Lithuanian, Norwegian, Spanish and Swedish. Even if you can’t find your language, just use the localization toolkit to easily localize B2Evolution to your language. With B2evolution it’s really easy to translate to your own language too.

The software helps to integrate a truly efficient workflow.

How does it work? When a user posts an article, it can be assigned to an editor. Editor may then assign them to reviewers for final approval and then only the article is published on the site. Thus, the actual permissions and statuses remain with the site owner.

B2Evolution has built-in support for RSS 0.92, RSS 1.0, RSS 2.0, and Atom feeds for both posts and comments.
