There is nothing better than quick and easy money. And there is no quicker and easier money than putting up a certain kind of blog. This is a down and dirty, no muss, no fuss process. It’s not pretty and nobody is going to award you style points for it, but when you start to see the traffic coming in, you’ll thank me for sharing these killer tips. So let’s begin.

First thing you want to do is head on over to Google Trends. Every hour, they update with the latest hot searches. This is what people are looking for right now. For example, as I am writing this, everybody and their grandmother is looking up the Michael Vick press conference since he just signed with the Eagles for two years. Simply go to the site, find something hot that can be monetized in some way (with Vick you can always sell football related stuff) and then move on to the next step.

That next step is getting yourself a Blogspot blog.

The reason you want a Blogspot blog is because you don’t have to wait for getting a domain propagated to your hosting. With Blogspot, it’s instantaneous. I can get a blog up and running literally within 10 minutes…and that’s with all that’s going to come next.

What comes next is the article you’re going to write for your blog. It should relate directly to the news event. In the case of Michael Vick, you might want to write a summary of the press conference. People searching for this phrase are going to want to know what went down. A good summary will attract a lot of traffic.

Finally, there is the actual monetization. There are two easy ways to monetize something like this. For starters, you can put some AdSense blocks on your blog. This is a great way to make some money without people having to buy anything.

If you choose your keywords correctly, Google will display the relevant ads. In addition to AdSense, you can go to Amazon and get some links for football related merchandise. Just place them under your article and you’re bound to make a few sales from it once you get enough traffic.

That brings us to the final piece of the puzzle…getting traffic. You want to do this quickly, so the best quick ways are through social bookmarking and social networking. Go to places like Digg and Twitter and bookmark and tweet about your blog and you’ll have quite a few people going there. If you also have a relevant list to the niche, you can email them and let them know about your new blog.

Like I said, this is a very quick method that can, in many cases, bring you results in a matter of hours. So if you want to make money quickly, this is one great way to do it…with a free Blogspot blog.

To YOUR Success,

Blogging is not complicated, but it is hard. It’s the same theory as lifting up a car – the action is a simple one, but it requires a great deal of effort to pull off. At the root of it, blogging is as simple as can be. The blogger logs in, writes a piece of appropriate length touching on a relevant topic, then posts and all is done. However, it is painfully clear that most blogs don’t survive the inception phase, and even those that do manage a few opening posts don’t tend to last more than a few days or weeks.

There are a number of mistakes that beginning bloggers make, blunders that compromise their blogs and kill their chances of developing an interested audience. On the other hand, there is far too much criticism and far too little specific advice on the web. With that in mind, here are some of the common opening mistakes new bloggers make, followed by specific steps that can be taken to avoid them.

Blunder #1 – The Text Wall

Rooted in the dialup age and the period where text was the only truly efficient medium of communication online, this kind of post is increasingly inappropriate for the online environment.

Broadband is widely available, having become the norm in many places rather than the high-priced exception. Cable connections, DSL and fiber optic specialized systems are all available for reasonably affordable prices, so more multimedia content can be included in every kind of post, and this most definitely includes blog posts.

Avoiding the Trap: It isn’t hard to find images or videos related to a blog topic. Search engines include video and image functionality in their search terms as a matter of course, and YouTube is full of material that can be accessed readily.

For smaller posts, a single link or video will probably do the trick, but for a more involved entry, one image per paragraph is certainly appropriate. Don’t include more than one video unless the post is specifically about a particularly engaging video series, however.

Blunder #2 – The Deaf Ear

The audience defines the success of a company. If people aren’t buying, the product is a failure. If people aren’t visiting, the museum is a failure. If people aren’t reading, the blog is a failure. This is an inviolate, absolute principle of all marketing, and yet there are many blogs that shut off user commentary or fail to interact with the audience as a matter of course. Censorship is ineffectual in any case, and self-censorship is an exercise in absolute stupidity. The blog that fails to take advantage of the opportunities offered by an active and positive comments section will not succeed as much as one that embraces the community mindset.

Avoiding the Trap: Cultivate commentary by rewarding thoughtful contributors. For example, if a visitor posts in a particularly eloquent and informed fashion, invite them to make a guest post on the blog and expand upon their ideas. Consider making the guest slot a regular feature of the blog. In a stroke, this will reduce the overall workload on the blog’s primary writer and show the more informed readers that their words are reaching the authority behind the blog. This also helps quell any din raised by agitators and malcontents.

Blunder #3 – The Rote Post

Regular content is the key to a successful blog; this can’t be disputed. However, it also can’t be disputed that some writers simply hit a slump and can’t go on producing without cessation. Sometimes the inspiration simply isn’t there. A blog oriented toward news-style stories covering a specific industry might suffer when the industry simply isn’t providing any new stories, for example. Forcing a post at times like this will be a bad idea almost universally, because people can tell when writing is forced or uninspired.

Avoiding the Trap: This is another area where the video function can come in handy. If a topic just isn’t presenting itself well, a blogger can look up a video series on the topic of their choice and post it. It’s often easier to post a video and add some commentary on the issues discussed than it is to come up with an article whole cloth.

Blunder #4 – Missing the Point

This issue ties right back in with the idea of audience feedback and participation in a blog, as well as finding alternative methods to rote updating. Consider the idea above, where a writer strapped for ideas posts a YouTube video related to the blog’s mission and makes a post commenting on it rather than devising an entire post of his or her own. Suppose this video comment is one of the most popular posts by traffic and commentary compared to any others, even though it took the least work. Why would a writer not take advantage of this? Sadly, this is exactly the case, and many bloggers miss the opportunity to pick up a new idea.

Avoiding the Trap: If a crazy or half-baked idea somehow becomes more popular than the default or normal pattern, consider making it a series and running with it. This is why observing metrics such as traffic and the user comments section is such an important skill to develop. The net is alive, vital and adapting. Keep a finger on the pulse of it, and be prepared to react to sudden inspirational shifts.

A blog is basically an online diary or journal that digitally records about anything you would want people to read. Blog is short for the term weblog and a term coined in humor in the late 1990s. They come in different styles and formats, support and settings, all depending upon user preferences. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art (art blog), photographs (photoblog), videos (video blogging), music (MP3 blog), and audio (podcasting).
Of the numerous topics displayed by blogs, perhaps the best known are political, personal, niche, travel, health, religious, and educational. All serve to be a collective of a specific topic written or produced by an individual or by a group of people.

Is Keeping a Blog for Me?

There are any numbers of reasons to start a blog. Once you see how easy it is, you can keep one for just for fun. Or you can use it to advertise yourself, much in the same way social bookmark sites promote individuals. Other reasons are to promote an already existing website, and make money!! Blogging is simple, and if you can type, click a mouse, and have internet connection, then you have what it takes to get started. The best part of blogging is that it is inexpensive.

How Do I Start a Blog?

You can create a blog for free. There are many free blog hosting sites you can locate by searching for ‘blog’ in the search engine. Blogger.com is a popular, but remember, Google owns your content, and can shut you down for any reason. The plus side is that it is easy to use, great for beginners, and takes all of 5 minutes to up and running. As with other blog hosts, users are provided with pre-made, ready to apply, templates. Users are also provided with easy to follow instructions on creating posts and options such as allowing comments, social bookmark site buttons, and uploading photos and videos. Beginners will also get a first-hand exposure to a blogging community and the wide variety of blogs on the internet.

Another very simple blogging tool is WordPress. WordPress is free, open-source software, simple to install, and has a lot, I mean A LOT, of online documentation. Dont let the phrase install on your own website scare you. Most hosts have the Fantastico application in the cPanel, and one click later, you choose the WordPress to have automatically installed. If you get hooked on WordPress themes, and there are hundreds of thousands available for free, learning FTP (file transfer protocol) is another easy skill to master. WordPress themes do vary in complexity, so start with something simple such as ones found at AlexKing.org. Some folks concerned about how much they need to know html and php. Again, there is a tremendous amount of help and tutorials on-line. When I first started with WordPress, all worried about my lack of expertise, here is what one business associate shared with me about her perspective on code: a little goes a long way. So, once you start with WordPress, with all the controls and options you have over a platform such as blogger.com, you are sure to convert to WP, or the like, for life.

A blog (short for weblog) is usually a mixture of what is happening in an individual’s life and what is happening on the Web. It is a sort of diary site that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs come in many different styles, designs, depending on the users’ preferences. Many blogging sites often include features such as videos, texts, pictures, a shoutout box, twitter updates and a lot of other plugins (available for free on the Net). Another new type of blog is audio blogging. Instead of writing just texts, some bloggers choose to make their blogs more attractive by using spoken word entries.

Here is the typical blog structure that most people have:

title- Just like your head. Title defines your blog entry
body- The content of your post, this part reveals your creativity in expressing yourself.
trackback- Let you know when another blogger has commented upon one of your posts.
permanent link- A direct URL to your blog post
comments- Allow readers to post comments on your blog.

Advantages of blogging:

Now, you must be thinking, why choose blogging instead of creating a website? Take a look at the advantages I’m going to list here and you decide if blog or website.

Easy to create: Blogs are easy to create.

You don’t need to go through all the fuss of web programming. You can have free templates from blog providers.
Search engine spiders love blogs: When this happens, your blog is most likely to be indexed in a shorter period. In other words, your blog will be easily found in the organic search result.
Easy to maintain: Blog software allows you to post online anytime anywhere. You don’t have to worry about uploading anything using FTP software or any other softwares.
Easy to have interaction with visitors: The comment section allows you to know what your reader wants and you can communicate with them so that you know which type of topics they would like to view.
It’s free: The coolest part is blogging is free! You can get free blogging platform on the Net. Just Google it. One popular example is: Blogger.com

Who should use a blog?

Anyone can blog. Those who want to start a blog can do so by signing up as a member of a blogging website of their choice. Currently blogging is being used widely throughout the world. It’s estimated to have around 112.8 million blogs worldwide. You can see that it is not limited to personal usage anymore. Many people have used it for commercial usage, such as selling and promoting their products in their blogs, as well as sharing information with people.

The most popular blog type, thus far, is the one that makes it a personal journal. This is the kind that is usually used by first time bloggers. Individuals who are poetic or who love to rant and release their angers will often find that blogging offers them a medium where they are able to express themselves.

This is my first time, where should I get an example of blogs?

Blogs vary in topics and have different niches. They can be found in blog directories if you have never seen one before. First time users who want to get an idea of what the blogging world is all about can browse through a number of blogs using these directories. This way they can get an idea of what these blogging communities are like.

Some example of blog directories for you to choose:

http://www.blogged.com/.
http://blogs.botw.org/.

Common, crawl the blog directories and choose your niche. Start your blog today!

Now that blogging seems to be in full swing, there’s a predominant question in every blogger’s mind – how do I make MORE money blogging?

The blogging world is a gold mine for the person who knows what he is doing. Tips and techniques can be shared and methods learned for making money with blogs , however, you cannot make money Blogging until you start trying. So, the first thing to do is plunge straight in and start trying to monetize your blog.

Ads ads and more ads:

If your blog is catering to a niche market and you are providing valuable content, there is an easy way to make money blogging – sell ad space! Even large corporations are on the lookout for ad space on blogs that have a good following. After all, Blogs are all about public opinion. If you let others advertise on your blogs with banner ads, sponsor ads, solo ads and classifieds, you can start earning money by blogging.

Google AdSense is another attractive option if you want to make money blogging. Google’s Adsense program makes it easy to advertise on your Blog. You get paid for every time someone click on an adword campaign located on your blog – not a bad way to subsidize your blogging income!

Endorse, promote and link:

‘You rub my back, and I rub yours’. Joint venture marketing is a powerful marketing strategy. By entering into joint venture, you basically promote or endorse certain products. The profits from these sales are split. If you have a loyal following a joint venture is easy because people want to JV with you.

Affiliate marketing is another way in which you can make money blogging. When you come across a product that is related to your blog recommend the product to your readers by linking to it. If they click the link and a sale takes place, you get a percentage of the profit. Some products can really make you a lot of money.

The membershipmodel:

If you own a blog that provides quality content, you can think of converting it into a membership based blog. Once you have hooked your readers on your blog content, they will find it difficult to stop reading your blog. If you make your blog a paying member’s only blog they will pay to gain access. However, this can be done after you have established your blog and convinced readers that your blog is worth paying for.

Convert Blog into E-Book:

Sell your blog content in more ways than one by converting them into e-books. If you cater to a niche market, there usually is a great demand for an ebook on the topic. Converting your blogs into content that can be sold will help you earn extra money blogging.

Ask for money:

You do not have to pound away at your keypad for free. If you have a blog that caters to a need or fights for a cause, do not hesitate to ask for a little monetary appreciation.

Recently, one blogger was able to leave his day job for ‘uniterrupted Blogging’ by cashing in on donations sent by his supportive readers.

If you have decided that you are blogging for money, do so whole heartedly. Place your Ads where people can see them, not in some half-hidden corner. If you are asking for a donation, ask loudly, don’t just leave an add or donation button sitting on your blog half-heartedly. There is no need to feel apologetic or defensive about making money from your blogs. After all, if you have started a blog that gives people something they want, you have every right to get paid.

Blogging is EASY and you have already waited long enough to join the millions of others who know the satisfaction of writing their own blog. Blogging is writing, and should use the proper skills and tools for your language’s grammar, but it is also very different from other styles of writing. One of the things I like best about blogging is the connections and relationships that you make by participating in blogs. Ultimately blogging is not about the statistics or the RSS subscribers, it is about the relationships and that is what people need to focus on if you want to have a successful blog. Are you aware of the new way to keep your friends updated of the things happening in your life? It is also use to promote businesses, to talk about economics in forum type and manage information. • Science blog – it is the mode used to disseminate information and data. However, scientists only use this mode for simple scientific data and information because they believe that it could damage the credibility of their science as many people can read it. • Moblog – it contains all the information from a mobile phone.• Collaborative blog – this kind of blog is written by two or more writers. Particular site is open for all the writers to write together with others. • Eclectic blog – it focuses on niches individually or collaboratively made.• Educational blog – this is used by students to record the things they learned from their teacher including the activities done in a day.• Directory blog – this blog gives a regular update of all the visited links.

If you want to have more people visit your blog, there are plenty of blog directories on the Internet that you can submit your blog to in order to attract and increase traffic. With the abundance of blogs available, the idea is to submit as wisely as possible as to prevent your blog disappearing in an Ocean Of Blogs. Here are a few guidelines:

Topic: Most blog directories are listed by the topics that submitted blogs that cover. Be as accurate as possible, and when give the chance to choose sub-topics, do so.

Tags: Goes without saying. When you have the opportunity to tag your blog, fill in all the blank spaces!

Quality Blog Directories: There are always a number of directories that seem to be well-known for quality submissions and standards. It may require more time than you planned, but the results are worth it. For one, Blog Catalog is a free blog directory with numerous categories such as career and jobs, writing, Iraq, and others. It has features such as featured blogs, search blogs, and look into improving your blogging. It is a great way to promote your own blog. Another great place to add your blog is Blog-directory.org. Not only do they have an extensive list of categories with sub categories, you can get your blog reviewed. For the most popular blogs, it shows the amount of hits that blogs have and if they have any reviews. As well as listing by category, the blogs are also listed by location.

Blog Directories with RSS Submissions: RSSTop55- Best Blog Directory And RSS Submission Sites is a combination of blog directory submission and RSS submission. There are paid submissions, if you desire, but there are plenty of free submissions as well. These blog directories have standards, and can rate your blog. Don’t overlook the power of RSS. Those with readers may prefer to subscribe to your blog rather than bookmark it. Submit your Blog RSS every chance you have to maximize your reader base.

You never know what you will find when you browsing through the directories, and you may just find out information that you never knew. Some of the blog directories offer chat features as well, so that you can meet other people easily. If that isn’t your style, reviewing other blogs just very well may be. Some directories encourage members to review blogs. This is a great way to mingle, meet other bloggers, get exposed to other blogging methods and tips, and even inspire and be inspired by other blogger’s content.

Manual or Automatic Submission: Often heard is the question of which one, manual or automatic submission of my blog? Both could be of advantage and you don’t mind spending for paid submission. Automatic submission may introduce your blog to the world quicker, and this is fine. Manual submission has the advantage of giving you first-hand experience of what each directory is really all about: its features, it’s content, resources offered you may want to try out, and other areas of interest to you. You may want to return or not return to a particular directory to submit another blog someday, knowing it will be reviewed, and has a clear place in the categories.

In summary, one way to generate traffic to your blog is make sure it is seen! Submit, to at least, quality directories, choose topics and categories with care, and review other blogs! Happy Blogging!

Blogging is a practice that has been around for at least 5 years. It began with average, but opinionated people with something to say, who wanted to share their opinions with anyone who would read them. While it has been popular with the general public, it hasn’t caught on with many businesses until recently. Blogging can be a powerful tool for marketing and exposure for any business if done properly. This article will cover the first steps businesses will need to take to set themselves up for successful blogging.

1. Your first step is to select an appropriate host for your blog. There are a couple of solutions that you can use to host your blog. You can:

1) Host it on your own server 2) Host it at a blogging hosting server, such as livejournal.com or blogger.com

If you host your own blog on your own web site, you will need to find blogging software that you can use on your web site. You will need to determine what your web site server capabilities are, and then determine what blogging software will work within your server environment. You will then need to install the software and arrange it in order to begin blogging.

2. Configure Your Business Blog

Once you have determined how you want to host your blog, and have installed it, or signed up for your blog service, you will need to configure your blog.

Configuring your blog includes, what template you want to use with your blog. Most blogs whether they are on a blog hosting service, or software that you have installed, will come with several templates. If you are new to the Internet, and don’t have a lot of programming experience, it is probably best to stick with one of the templates that has come with the software or service. It is however, better if you have some programming background, or have the funds to hire someone, then you can get your blog to look like your business web siteOther things that will need to be configured are settings such as the name and description of your business blog, the email address you want messages from your blog to be sent to, how you want your blog archived (posts saved for future access), what ping services you want to notify when you update your blog, and other settings too numerous to mention in this article.

3. Determine the Content of Your Business Blog

This next step can be done before you actually install your blog, but you will need to determine the topic of your business blog, and how you want to convey your information to your target market. The content and topics of your blog should relate to your industry. You can focus as narrow or as wide as you choose think is appropriate. In general, it is a good idea to cover many areas within your industry and then separate the different areas of your industry into different categories within your blog’s

lastly but most importantly, you should choose topics and categories that will be of interest to your visitors. You will need to research the keywords that your customers would use to find you. There are many keyword research tools existing on the web today that will tell you what exact phrases, and how often, your target market is using to find you. These keywords will determine the topics of your blog entries. You should also use some of the phrases you have found in your research in your business blog posts.

4. Begin Blogging for Your Business

The last step is to start blogging. You can choose from a number of various formats to add entries to your blog, as blog entries can take on any format. Some formats that you may want to consider include:

1) Writing articles and posting them to your blog. 2) Finding related news items in your industry and posting them with comments as to what you think of the news item. 3) Answering frequently asked questions you get from your clients. 4) Writing reviews of products/services in your industry

your style of posting should match what your target market would find interesting.

Now that you know the basic steps of what needs to be done to begin business blogging, you can choose how you want to host your blog, what keywords your target market uses to find you, and what format would make the most sense to begin blogging. There are many web sites that have more articles and in-depth information about business blogging. You can use these resource sites to help guide you through the process from making your first post, to getting your first customer from your business blog.
